Our watch faces
Everything a Get Watch Faces watch face shows is rendered on your watch and stays there. The faces read activity and health metrics (steps, heart rate, calories, Body Battery and similar) from your Garmin device only to display them; they are never transmitted off the device. Faces that show sunrise and sunset times use the last-known GPS position stored on your device solely to compute those times; your location is never stored or sent anywhere.
Network use
Some faces periodically download a small public file from our server, for example the fixtures schedule in Tifo, so displayed content stays current. This is a one-way download: the request sends no personal data, identifiers or location.
Optional weather provider (MET Norway)
Some faces (for example Quipu) let you optionally switch the weather source to MET Norway. When you enable this, the watch periodically (about once per hour) sends your approximate location, rounded to roughly 1 km, to our weather relay, which fetches the forecast from MET Norway and returns a small summary (temperature, conditions, UV). The request contains no name, account, identifier or health data; nothing is logged or stored on our servers. Weather data © MET Norway, licensed CC BY 4.0. With the default Garmin weather source, no request is ever made to our servers.
Anonymous install count
Some of our faces (starting with Quipu Focus) tell us how many watches are running them. This is how we know whether anyone is using what we build. Here is exactly what happens, in full.
- How often: at most once a day, in the background. If the watch has no connection, nothing is sent and nothing is retried.
- What is sent: four things and nothing else - a random number generated on your watch when the face is first installed; which face it is; which version of that face; and your watch model (for example "Venu 3"), which is the same string on every watch of that model in the world.
- What is not sent: no name, no email, no Garmin account, no device serial number, no location, no steps, heart rate, sleep or any other health or activity data. None of it ever leaves your watch.
- The random number: it is not derived from you or from your watch - it is simply a random value, and its only purpose is so that one watch reporting every day is counted as one install rather than three hundred. We cannot connect it to a person, an account or a device, and it is never shared with anyone.
- What we keep: daily totals per face - how many installs are new, how many are active, and the split by watch model and face version. We do not store IP addresses and we do not build profiles.
If you would rather this did not happen, uninstalling the face stops it completely. You can also write to us at the address below and we will tell you how to have it switched off.

getwatchfaces.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and has no accounts or forms that collect personal data. If you email us, we use your address only to reply.
Third parties
We do not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and nothing about you is sent to anyone else. The install count above is our own, runs on our own server, and stops at the numbers described there. We have no access to your Garmin account. Purchases of our faces happen entirely inside Garmin's Connect IQ store under Garmin's own privacy policy; we never see your payment details.
Children
Our watch faces and this website do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
