Hold the bottom button, then select Watch Face, swipe through the carousel, tap to apply. New faces come from the Connect IQ store app on your phone; the install guide covers that end, and the per-model switching guide covers every other Garmin.

Where are the settings for a face I installed on my Venu 3?

In the Connect IQ app on your phone, not in the watch menus. Open your device, tap the face, then Settings. The on-watch Customize menu only shows the shortcuts the face developer chose to expose.

Does always-on display make sense on the Venu 3?

It costs real battery (days instead of about two weeks), but the Venu 3 has enough capacity that many owners run AOD happily. Try a week with the gesture-only mode first; most people stop missing AOD.
